Brachial plexitis has meant very little painting as my right hand has been numb for ages.
Heres a few badly lit early war ww2 Germans to ease me back in....

......at bleedin last. A start to my Skirmish Sangin/British army battles the zeds collection. Phew.

Sunday, 14 September 2014

These Empress modern British (I mean this but there are a lot more) have started to get done now too. Initialy The idea was to use them in a post apocalypse setting only but I recently added Skirmish Sangin to my collection of rules and they had to get a desert/scrub base scheme.
Both the Empress range and Skirmish Sangin are top notch.
I am not doing these guys justice, need to brush up on my brushwork.

I painted these....
and this.

Annemarie has developed a heart problem and with that and a thousand other woes I have been away for a bit. Painting again but a mixture and not just zeds anymore. Hello again by the way!

HELP! Can anybody tell me where these come from? I want to use them for my ARC rocket consortium but cant find them on Crooked dice or Hasslefree. I have no idea where they sprang from.

Ice warriors.

Yep, like it says the green Martians got it today.
I am getting throught these like a rocket (for me).

Just their claok wearing leader to do, he needs blending, and then a varnish. I believe I shall get stuck back into my modern trooper/survivors tomorrow and then I have to hit my WW2 stuff......phew!

Slitheen

http://www.cpmodelsminiatures.co.uk/CP%20MODELS%2028MM%20SCI-FI%20-%20ALIENS.htm

You may or may not be aware of C-P miniatures but today I got some not Slitheen from them and I felt the need to share. I shall get them painted and posted asap. There are four adult sculps and a child. Lovely. Enjoy.

...the Slitheen as portrayed onscreen and....

...an example of a painted C-P not Slitheen. I think they fit the bill nicely.

Speedpainting Doctor Who week! Some mouldlines missed, some spots of overvarnishing, some overly glossy but all in all I banged out enough for a couple of games of DWMG. Result. Slow work continues on the modern troopers. But first!

...phew...

More Hasslefree moderns.

Rocketing at a rate of 1 a day, wow. Going today for MRI etc to see if my hand is fixable or if I am cursed to paint like an arthritic slug forever...
These are without varnish but still shine a bit. Im blaming the camera.

Still 4 more to do. Must make the effort to finish them this week.......

Across the dead earth.

Before I forget, on Lead adventure forum theres aguy called Richard Chappell who is beta testing a set of apocalypse rules and is looking for playtesters. Its in the post apoc section. I have downloaded the rules and they are well worth a look. He is aiming to develop a campaign driven system with progression of characters as opposed to static statlines. You should give it a go. Its great to see such interest in the genre.

Sarissa buildings....

bought a load of the city buildings and painted them with teracotta Dulux tester pots, black wash and rubbed in grey pastel before a spray of matt varnish.
I will get some setup for photographing large items but heres one on a shelf......with a gallows and JD mini/hipflask on top. Just for an idea of how it turned out.

I have also been painting wild west stuff for Dead mans hand but some items like this church may make it into my zombapocalypse....

Sarissa make some lovely kits and as a novice building painter Im not doing them justice.
Heres a better shot of the townhouse to illustrate both the lovely detail and lack of skill.
Anyhoo, back to painting not SG1 and a few more walkers/zeds/differently alive.

Thursday, 28 November 2013

Im off to apply more matt to those and finish another few. They are the Hasslefree modern troopers and I have never seen nicer human troops. Ever.
I have to do up the not SG1 quartet and with the others will be using them in ATZ and 7ombie TV, probably 7 TV as well.
I have been burning through zeds and sarissa buildings as well as Dr Who stuff as and when the severly damaged back allows. Had to resurrect the old blog. Like any good walker its hard to put down. Will post some buildings next.
Need to keep this up to make me keep painting, even if nobody is reading.

The shiny thing is pi$$ing me off. In real life they are matt!
